As the first to market solar experts in the UK, our Solar Tower Lights have always led the way. We’ve made it our mission to build the world’s cleanest, most advanced, sustainable products. Over the past 8 years we have learnt how to maximise the yield and battery capacity of our products.
This ensures you get the best cost and carbon savings compared to an equivalent diesel product. Our Solar Tower Lights are the smartest and most innovative temporary lighting towers on the market. This is because of their advanced telematics, continuous remote monitoring and management software and no need for battery draining making it a truly setup-and-forget technology. This enables us to evaluate the data from over a 1,000 units to provide accurate total cost of ownership, repayment calculations, fuel savings and carbon savings.
Our lights are patented and the most advanced available. Why settle for second best when you can have the original and the best?
Our lights autonomously adapt based on location and battery reserves, to ensure optimum performance, guaranteeing the lights work all night.
Prolectric tower lights reach their cost neutral point at 1 year and 8 months, saving £9,727 in the first year, £16,598 after 5 years and a staggering £25,898 after 7 years – a tower light that keeps on giving, saving you money.
The only Solar Tower Lights on the market that need no battery draining and no monthly maintenance program, they are truly setup-and-forget.
Every tower light is fitted with a microcontroller, the Prolectric Hub, and GPS tracking, so it can be switched on and off remotely, and key data such as power generated/consumed and light on and off settings, can be monitored and recorded. Customers are provided with real-time access to our Smart Remote Portal monitoring and reporting service that autonomously optimises the tower lights performance, as well as giving monthly reports of a range of performance and diagnostics data including carbon savings.
Together with significant costs savings, our products dramatically reduce your environmental impact and emissions, highlighting your commitment to sustainability.
By switching from a traditional diesel tower light to our ProLight Solar Lighting Tower, you will save on average 5,472 litres of fuel annually, £10,806 in operational costs and mitigate 14,665 kg of CO2e.
No need to drain the battery or follow a monthly maintenance program.
Software enables you to manage the power to each of your onsite assets, turning assets on and off from anywhere in the world.
All our lighting products are designed to autonomously adapt and work all night, based on the GPS location and battery reserves, to ensure optimum performance.
Our smart software interprets historical solar radiance and climatic conditions to assess whether they have enough power to reach sunrise and, if not, will self-regulate to ensure you always have enough light to complete your work onsite at night.
GPS tracking of the units means complete peace of mind for fleet managers.
Remotely monitor each unit’s performance, solar yield, and battery usage, and you can even check if the panels are deployed correctly.
Environmental and cost-saving reports at the touch of button.
We lead the way in the smart, clean, renewable technology sector – not least because we pioneered it – but because we’re the only ones to have mastered the art of engineering the only solar, battery, and hybrid systems in the UK to truly work autonomously through artificial intelligence.
I was familiar with the off-grid benefits of Prolectric solar lighting from previous trials, so I knew that using the ProTemps at Euston would mean we would get reliable site illumination without having to connect to mains electricity, therefore achieving a welcome saving in utility charges. As the substation site is next to a residential estate, it was also important that we make all reasonable efforts to reduce our impacts, such as noise from generators. My role at Skanska is to encourage environmental improvement and promote the use of equipment powered by renewable sources. It is important for contractors to be aware of solar-powered alternative for temporary lighting where it can reduce any adverse environmental impacts, and it will also help to save on project costs.
Richard CattanThere are currently in excess of 30 units now located at HPA. They work very well in their chosen locations and are proving to be robust in what can sometimes be a very harsh and extreme environment. Once set up and thus far, they appear to be near self-sufficient with next to no maintenance required.
M. ReeveA 97% diesel reduction at the first attempt is a great achievement. Saving close to 6,000 litres of diesel is the same as driving a family car at 40 mpg twice around the circumference of the world. It’s also clear where we have learnt the lessons from Llanwern so we can aim to close that small gap. We really want to get to that 100% fuel-free figure by the time of our next challenge, planned for a rail renewal project later in the summer. There’s no doubt these technologies are going to be a complete game-changer and we need to push on to get to a place where using this type of technology is just business as usual.
Ryan BallingerThe solar tower lights have been fantastic, the fact we have not needed to refuel them for 6 weeks and that they are also silent and emission free has been a real bonus. Great technology that we will look to use again on future productions.
David GalesHighways England’s environmental strategy seeks to help protect, manage and enhance the quality of the surrounding environment.
The use of Prolectric solar powered lights on the project is an excellent innovative approach by the A14 Integrated delivery team. The use of renewable power sources on the A14 scheme helps us to work in greater harmony with the environment.
